1968 - 1972: Koninklijke Militaire Academie (KMA)
Future officer; Weapon Engineer (KMA)
Studies:
Mathematics, Physics, Armament Technics, Geometric Optics, Leadership,
Strategy, Tactics, Military & Political History.
Most of my time at the KMA I studied on Breda Castle.
At the `Commando Korps` in Roosendaal I received special trainings such
as: endurance, leadership, survival technics and parachute jumping (Seppe >
Rucphense Heide).
At the `Garderegiment` of `Garde
Grenadiers` ("11e Pantserinfanteriebataljon") in Arnhem I did
courses team building & leadership as a group leader and
later-on as platoon leader.
In that intensive period of my life I became an active member of the Cadettencorps.
Besides my studies I practised sports such as:
- running (favourite distance: 10 kilometres)
- swimming
- parachute jumping (first para wing)
- judo (member of the KMA-judo team)
- fighting (sable in particular)
- shooting (long distance sniper; member of the KMA-shooting team)
