Last Saturday I returned from a short retreat in my motherland Germany. I very much enjoyed my stay, together with my hunting mate by Jaap de Jong and his father Eelke de Jong) in `Birkenfeld` near Idar Oberstein in `Rheinland Pfalz`. Recently I discussed with my hunting companion drs. Koos van der Wal RA the opportunities for developing sustainable country estates in Germany in general and in the German states Brandenburg and Rheinland Pfalz in particular.

As we know from experience, sustainable planting of trees (such as Robinia pseudoacacia L) needs to be protected against boars, deers, roe deers and so on ..

Last year I had a meeting with Jaap de Jong in our Austerlitz-office, together with mr. Rob Lievestro. Mr. de Jong was sincerely interested in my backgrounds as protector of flora and fauna. He and his hunting mates of `Jachtcombinatie Birkenfeld` invited me to become member of their hunting group, having 13 Dutch members at the moment. So I did...

Professionally, it is of paramount importance  to combine this kind of protective activities from the start together with the development of sustainable country estates within the Forest Returns Papatya Concept.
