The elements within our `Papatya` concept, such as sustainable: hospitality, wellness, spa & conferencing (red segment), forestry, agri culture, cattle breeding (green segment), aqua culture & water management (blue segment), education & energy, are vital for the development of Landgoed Groot Mariënbosch. Above all we have chosen for quality. Today we had our meeting at KDV Architects with our Surinam Think Tank, coordinated by mr. Marcel Persad BBA. Our Surinam Think Tank members from 21 September 2008 untill 21 January 2009: ir. Philip Dikland (historical research & architecture), drs. Pieter Teunissen (nature conservation, agriculture, animal husbandry, fishery, forestry), ir. Dirk Noordam (soil science, agriculture, animal husbandry), ing. Marcel Meijer (land & water management) & mr. Marcel Persad (finance & aqua culture). Today, Marije and I gave, step-by-step, an up date per segment. The focus will be on the red segment: sustainable hospitality, wellness, spa & conferencing. As of 22 January 2009 we will go more in detail with the specialists involved, with -above all- our eagle view (`Harpij arend` in our logo) in mind... Mr. Marcel Persad will remain our Surinam coordinator. Last Tuesday Marije and I renewed our contract with Marcel untill 01-07-2009. These pictures are meant as a tribute to all members of this temporary Surinam Think Tank. They strongly helpt us to fine tune our main vision which will, last but not least, lead to a better quality of life in Surinam...
