Photography » Z-werk220 `Stammtisch 19-04-2009` in Austerlitz

"Never change a winning formula." That`s why two of five boardmembers Z-werk220, Pieter van der Veer (treasurer) and I (chairman), were very happy to welcome a growing group of members of Z-werk220 on this sunny Sunday in Austerlitz. Z-werk220 is a working group of volunteers promoting scale 1 : 220 (Scale Z). Themes of this `Stammtisch` at scale 1 : 220: landscapes, people, other animals (smile), boats, cars and above all trains, trains, trains. Creating landscapes is a vital element... So from the beginning Z-werk220 has been sponsored with facilities & financials by Forest Returns ; due to country estates, this country estate corporation is developing worldwide. Launching this year in Germany in the State of Brandenburg for example some trains at scale 1 : 1. This Sunday we were impressed by the produce of a new member -since 2008- of our Dutch Z-friends` club: Paul van Hecken. Coming from far today, from Den Burg, situated on the island of Texel, Paul brought first of all a special cake and secondly (smile) his unique module 88 x 40 cm in a smartly prepared wooden box. This module includes a so called separate `pendelbaan met Bundesbahn Railbus`. An other moving and impressive element is the blinking campfire at scale N upto Z. Paul also showed us the production of real grass at scale 1 : 220 (!) . He transformed a former flycather into a practical machine at the price of 4 Euro... During a future Z-werk220-workshop in Austerlitz Paul & I would like to present the production of landscapes, including moving elements to other members of our Z-working society. In this photo album Paul shows some aspects of production in earlier stages and our presentation on exhibitions such as Eurospoor in Utrecht. To be continued...
